Today me and the girls met at Jodie's house and I squeezed into Jodie's size 8 Alice in Wonderland costume (which I was very pleased about!), and we drove over to South Weald Park to film.
It was so muddy and so cold, I'm pretty sure I was on the brink of hypothermia and also embarrassment as I had to run past dog walkers and stay in role of Imogen Fall, whilst wearing a tutu. Not a simple task!
After we re-drafted our lyrics and what shots we wanted to get, we decided to be very spontaneous and just shoot anything! This included me running around tree's looking like I'm searching for something (a link to Alice in Wonderland and fairy-tale theme of looking for Prince Charming). We also found a rabbit hole that I pretended to be looking to see if I could get into it (no chance!). I also sat on a tree root by the lake and sing the entire song whilst moving around to show my emotion. The lake in the background looked absolutely stunning on camera and I'm really pleased that it came out good!
I think the girls and I are much more on course now and we got really excited by the success of this filming session!
On Friday, we are going to meet again at Jodie's house with Josh and film the scenes with him wearing the mask. These include 'Love Actually', the 'Notebook' and various other romantic scenes. We've chosen to use a mask as they are used in drama to strip the character of their identity, meaning the person in the shots with me will be a mystery guy. How exciting!
