What Music Means To Me

Childhood years

My favourite song from my childhood is 'A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes' from the film, Cinderella. This was my one of my favourite movies alongside The Lion King because I always dreamed of meeting a prince and living happily ever after. Whenever I would watch Cinderella, I would dress up as a princess and wear a tiara and pretend I was a princess, whilst my elder brothers would tease me for having, in their opinion, such ridiculous hopes for my future. I still hope I will find a prince, preferably Prince Harry.

Early-teen years
When I was growing up, my elder brother would always play this song and sing along to it and I picked up the lyrics and sang along to it as well. I really like the song as it focuses on being comfortable with who you are and whenever I hear it, it reminds me of my brother.

Late teen years
Right now, my favourite song is 'So Happy I Could Die' by Lady Gaga, it's from her first album and is a really happy, lighthearted song about clubbing which has particular reference to me as I turned 18 around 4 months ago. Whenever I listen to it, it just reminds me of going out with my friends and not having a care in the world... As well as getting quite drunk at the same time.
